UAC breaks "Open file Location" in task manager in windows 7 when "show processes from all users" is enabled.
In Windows 7, when I right click a process in task manager and select "open file location", it works as intended. But when I select "show processes from all users" through UAC elevation, "Open file location" no longer does anything, including on processes it worked on without show all processes enabled. Scenario 1: open task manager; go to the processes tab; right click a process; select "open file location"; Windows Explorer opens a new window at the file location Scenario 2: open task manager; enable "Show processses from all users" through UAC elevation as my user account is different to my admin account enter the password and enable evelation Processes from all users appear in task manager right click the same process as in scenario 1 select open file location; Nothing happens, zilch, nada, zero; This is completely replicable too, it happens every time I enable "Show processes from all users". If I close out task manager and reopen it works fine for normal view, but it just isn't happening with show processes from all users. Is there any method to submit a bug report? I am currently seaching for such but just for convenience if anyone knows :). Thanks,

Hi Slyman2k4, Thanks for the post! I test it on my computer, when check "Show processes from all users", I still can Open File Location. But if you just open Task Manager with UAC turned, some Processes without User Name and Description cannot Open File Location. I think it could be related with your user account, please logon the computer using administrator account then test again.
